English Vocabulary: Jobsworth

A jobsworth is a British English word used to describe a public servant who appears to enjoy exercising their authority in a heavy-handed, obstructive way, and typically responds to reasonable requests for action with the phrase "I can't do that - it's more than my job's worth!"
